A recent site visit by Philadelphia YIMBY has revealed that construction is complete at a three-story single-family rowhouse at 2415 Mutter Street in West Kensington. Located on the east side of the block between West York and West Cumberland streets, the structure spans 1,642 square feet. Permits list V2 Properties Construction Management as the contractor and specify a construction cost of $200,000.
The building rises from a vacant lot on a block that was heavily hit by the postwar trend of depopulation and demolitions. The construction boom that is sweeping the neighborhood has not yet arrived on this particular block en masse, so the structure stands at the vanguard of the block’s new development. We hope to hear announcements of new projects on the block in the near future.
