Permits have been filed for the demolition of a vacant low-rise commercial structure at 545 North Broad Street in Poplar, North Philadelphia. The property is located at the northeast corner of North Broad Street and Brandywine Street. Permits list a building footprint of 8,265 square feet. 545NB QOZB LLC is the listed owner.

The property is a white brick-clad postwar retail building that once held several businesses and has sat vacant since late 2019. According to the permits, the building will be demolished using mechanical means.

The Spring Garden station of the Broad Street SEPTA line is located one short block to the south, as is the 43 bus. Across the street to the south of the property is the site for the 361-foot-tall Mural West tower proposed at 523 North Broad Street. Both properties sit within the lower North Broad Street corridor, which is rapidly becoming an active development zone.
