Permits have been filed for the construction of a multi-family structure at 1810 Federal Street in Point Breeze, South Philadelphia. The building will rise from a 1,181-square-foot footprint on the south side of the block between South 18th Street and South 19th Street. Dale E. Cottle is the listed owner.

The site is currently occupied by a three-story rowhouse with light gray stone cladding. According to the documents, the new structure will feature a cellar below the main floor.

The 2 bus stops at the corner of South 17th Street and Federal Street, just a block to the east of the property. The Ellsworth-Federal station on the Broad Street Line sits several blocks to the east. Two blocks to the north of the property is the Chew Playground and Recreational Center that takes up the entire block at 1800 Washington Avenue. The recreational center features two basketball courts, a public pool, and a large field for sports activity.
