Philly YIMBY’s recent site visit has observed that construction is almost complete at a five-story, 21-unit mixed-use building at 2000 North Front Street in Fishtown. The structure will rise at the northwest corner of Front and Norris streets, replacing a dilapidated and boarded-up three-story prewar building. The development will offer 22,992 square feet of interior space, which will include a commercial component. Features include full sprinkling and a roof deck, which will likely offer sweeping skyline views due to the structure’s relative prominence. Permits list Dr. Jerry Ginsberg as the owner, KCA Design Associates as the architect, and Tota Builders, Inc. [sic] as the contractor. Construction costs are specified at $710,000.
The long-neglected block, located at the junction of Fishtown to the southeast, central Kensington to the east, and Norris Square to the northwest, is finally seeing a significant revival after decades of neglect and abandonment. A four-story, eight-unit mixed-use building is underway at 2034 North Front Street just up the block. A pair of five-story mixed-use buildings have also been recently completed just to the north, at 2038 North Front Street and 2046 North Front Street.

Looks great for the neighborhood! Where is the he closest EL Station?
I used to go to physical therapy and an eye doctor in a building that looked just like that when I was a teenager in the burbs. My grandmom’s one dentist was in that building too. At least it is too big for the space.
I meant, At least it is NOT too big for the space.
Dr. Jerry Ginsberg is not the owner; he was deceased so it was sold to BELI LLC, thus this development.
Also KCA Design Associates links to wrong tag.
