Philly YIMBY’s recent site visit has noted sustained construction progress at a seven-story, 220-unit residential development at 417-25 Callowhill Street in Northern Liberties, Lower North Philadelphia. Designed by Bernardon, the building will be situated just to the north of Old City and will offer apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments, 29,980 square feet of amenities, and an expansive roof deck, as well as 71 parking spaces.
417 Callowhill Street, rising at the northeast corner of Callowhill and North 5th streets, just across from the elevated ramps of the I-95/I-676 interchange, is one of the many developments that are bringing a much-needed, long-overdue transformation to the sprawling, forlorn commercial and industrial district that spans most of southern Northern Liberties (aka Cohoqinoque). In the coming years, the area promises to become a dense, vibrant district with active pedestrian life and ample ground-level retail.

Feels like very, very slow progress…
Built by snail mail!
I don’t know understand why everybody thinks construction is slowed down contractors are fined but every day they go over the end date and they get bonuses for every day they finish early so trust me they’re working as fast as they can to get the bonuses
