The brick facade and large windows are positives. The puny cornice out-of-line with neighboring structures and the absence of a contextual porch (both of which the demoed home had) are negatives. Most distressing is the loss of a large, mature, beautiful street tree destroyed for the purpose of lowering construction cost. And no replacement.

Sometimes it’s not “you are what you eat” but rather “you are what you build”.

  2. No parking either

I am sure it’s beautiful inside, but the neighborhood there is not good. In fact, bad is the word. The neighboring houses are trashy.

Why didn’t they make it fit in better with a front porch?
