Since the time of our last visit, Philly YIMBY recent visit has noted no new construction at the site of a proposed 11-story, 11-unit mixed-use development at 4400-14 Market Street in Spruce Hill, West Philadelphia. The building, situated on the southwest corner of the intersection of South 44th and Market streets, will span 103,175 square feet and include commercial space on the ground floor along Market Street. Permits specify construction costs at $17 million.
We hope that this current site condition is short-lived, as we look forward to construction progress on this promising development that will add a large number of new housing units to a centrally situated site that sits just to the west of booming University City.

17 million for only 11 units is tough. But hopefully the developers can reduce the unit cost through the commercial space. At any rate, love to see 11 new units coming to the area.
I think it may be a typo. Their first article on this says 100 units.
That is not Spruce Hill, which is south of Walnut Street. More precisely it is Walnut Hill.
