Permits have been issued for the construction of a three-story residential building at 2050 East William Street in Kensington, Philadelphia. The building will be constructed on a vacant lot spanning 861 square feet, situated on a corner block bound by East Auburn Street, Coral Street, and Amber Street, facing East William Street. The project has an allocated total construction cost of $270,000, with $230,000 as the general construction cost, $13,000 for plumbing, and $11,000 for mechanical work.
BMK Properties LLC is listed as the developer. Permits list Urban Renewal Builders LLC as the contractor. Marshall Sabatini Architecture+ is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the construction of a three-story residential building to be used as a single-family residence. The building will yield a total built-up area spanning 1,793 square feet and feature an attached structure with cellar and a roof deck accessed by a roof deck access structure.
The pilot house will span an area of 84 square feet. The building height is proposed to rise to 34 feet. A rear yard running 29 feet will be developed on the site.
Separate permits are required for the commercial space, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression work. The project requires at least 5 feet of excavation and requires underpinning. Underpinning and excavation work has also been completed under a separate permit.
The site is located near various industrial stops, grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. No estimated construction timeline has been announced yet.
