Permits have been filed for 1601 South 22nd Street in Point Breeze, South Philadelphia. Located at the corner of Tasker Street and South 22nd Street, the property is owned by IBNM LLC.

The construction permits call for a new structure to be attached to the property to the south. Though the documents do not state the amount of floors in the new building, it does state that the building will have a roof deck with a roof deck access structure. The deck will likely present a fantastic view of the Philadelphia skyline as when you look to the north you can see the panoramic skyline as Point Breeze Avenue cuts through the view. Since the property is larger than average, it seems the building could look drastically different in size and appearance compared to the neighboring buildings.

The property is currently a grass covered lot. The area around the lot consists primarily of two-story, pre-war, brick-clad buildings. The area has a older yet vibrant look as many of the buildings feature bay windows.
