The single-family dwelling will rise from a small lot nestled between two three-story residential structures to the east and west of the property. The listed property owner is Ataseven Gazi.
Documents note that the building height will not exceed 38 feet. The structure will also feature a pilot house and a roof deck.
Wharton is a classic South Philly neighborhood located somewhat far from subway service, yet well-served by bus transit and proximate to big box stores by the Delaware River waterfront. The closest park to the property is Weinberg Park, a triangular square situated five blocks to the south at 6th Street and Jackson Street. Just one block to the south sits the larger Mifflin Square Park with ample shaded lawns, a basketball court, and a playground.
