Permits have been filed for the construction of a multi-family residential structure at 3200 West York Street in Strawberry Mansion, North Philadelphia. The structure would span a footprint measuring 2,405 square feet. City of Philadelphia Department of Public Property is the listed owner.

The lot, located at the southwest corner of West York and North 32nd streets, currently exists as a grass lot with mature trees and a two-plank wooden fence, matching a property to the east across North 32nd Street. At one point, the lot appears to have housed several rowhouses, and is amply sized to support the structure’s larger-than-average footprint.

The site is located two blocks away from the section of Fairmount Park that is home to the Ormiston, Laurel Hill, Woodford, and Strawberry mansions, the latter of which is the namesake for the adjacent neighborhood. Strawberry Mansion High School is located four blocks to the south.
