YIMBY Takes a Closer Look at Proposal at 3331 West Firth Street in Strawberry Mansion, North Philadelphia

YIMBY recently reported that permits have been issued for the construction of a three-story, three-unit apartment building at 3331 West Firth Street in Strawberry Mansion, North Philadelphia; today we take a closer look at the proposal. The new building will rise from a vacant lot sited on the north side of the block between North Spangler Street and North 34th Street. Designed by the 24/7 Design Group, the development will span 4,180 square feet, lending a spacious average of over 1,300 square feet per apartment, and will feature a basement. Permits list Grateful Dev LLC as the contractor and indicate a construction cost of $475,000.

Designed by 24/7 Design Group, the building will rise on the east side of the block between West Susquehanna Street and West Dauphin Street, near the intersection of 33rd and Dauphin streets and across from Fairmount Park. The structure will span 3,500 square feet, which yields around 700 square feet per average unit. The building will feature full sprinkling, a cellar, and a roof deck. Permits list Lindsay Patterson as the owner, Edge Construction Services LLC as the contractor, and a construction cost of $600,000.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a three-story, 16-unit residential building at 1901-09 North 33rd Street in Strawberry Mansion, North Philadelphia. The development will replace a vacant lot bound by North 33rd Street to the west, West Berks Street to the south, and Monument Street to the north, situated across from Fairmount Park. The structure will be built in four compartments separated by a fire wall, with each compartment containing four bi-level units. Building features include full sprinkling and parking for six bicycles. According to city permits, the site is under the ownership of the Philadelphia Land Bank. Permits also list Michael Johns as the design professional, BDFS Group Inc. as the contractor, and a construction cost of $2.4 million.

Renderings have been revealed for a four-story, 94-unit multi-family development at 2019-33 North 29th Street in Strawberry Mansion, North Philadelphia. Designed by JKRP Architects, the building will feature 3,024 square feet of amenity space, a 2,089-square-foot roof deck, a 3,720-square-foot courtyard, 25 parking spaces, and a bicycle storage room.

Upon completion, the new building will rise three stories tall. A green roof will sit on top of the structure.
