Permits have been filed for the demolition of a two-story residential building at 2209 North Reese Street in Norris Square, North Philadelphia. Located near the corner of North Reese Street and West Susquehanna Street, the structure will be torn down as part of the City of Philadelphia Demolition Program. The gross floor area of the building is 1,200 square feet and the cost of the work will be $12,620. The Philadelphia Housing Authority is the owner and Mangual Demolition Inc. is the listed contractor.

The filing also calls for clearing and grading the vacant lot next door at number 2211, removing an on-site tree and repairing the sidewalk in front of both addresses.

A block and a half to the north sits Rainbow de Colores Park. The McKinley William School sits two short blocks to the east, and the John Welsh Elementary school is located a few blocks to the northeast, next to Eric Cassano Field, which features a baseball diamond, a basketball court, and open lawn space. Temple University sits within a 15-minute walk to the southwest.
