Permits have been filed for the construction of a multi-family structure at 2525 Frankford Avenue in East Kensington. The property is situated on the southeast side of the block between East Cumberland Street and East Sergeant Street. Saint Bernard Holding Group LLC is the listed owner.
The site of the proposal is currently occupied by a two-story structure. The building’s second floor exterior is clad with brick while the first floor and the garage to the southwest are covered with a smooth surface and painted in a yellow-beige color. The plans call for the erection of an attached structure on the site, with the future structure presumably taking the air rights for the garage to make a building with more floor space.
The 5 bus stops at the corner of Frankford Avenue and East Sergeant Street. The York-Dauphin station of the Market-Frankford SEPTA line sits within a four-minute walk to the west. Kensington High School sits a short block to the northwest at 2051 East Cumberland Street.
