A residential conversion has been approved at 1222-24 Annin Street in Passyunk SquareSouth Philadelphia. The project will turn an existing prewar industrial structure into a multi-family building. Upon completion, the development will hold three residential units.

An elevation rendering of the front of the structure shows that the current façade of the structure will mostly remain the same. The attractive red brick façade will remain, as well as all of the existing windows. The design retails the name for the former occupants of the building as well as the garage door. Black trim will be added to the windows to give the project a modern touch.

The building is located in a prime location within walking to multiple commercial corridors and transit options, such as via the via Ellsworth Federal station on the Broad Street Line. Passyunk Avenue and the Italian Market are each located a few blocks to the east of the property, with Broad Street and Washington Avenue situated just a few blocks to the west and north.

No completion date for the project has been announced, yet the renovation may be completed by 2022.
