Permits have been issued for the construction of a new residential structure at 2619-21 East Huntingdon Street in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. The project calls for the erection of a three-story attached single-family dwelling with an occupiable roof deck and roof access structure. The site spans a through-block parcel between East Huntingdon and East Harold Streets, just west of Frankford Avenue and one block from the Somerset Station on the Market-Frankford Line.
The development is being led by Global Win, with Qazim Kupa listed as the contractor and permit holder. The building is designed by Here’s The Plan, LLC. The project is classified under residential occupancy group R-3 and will include 2,272 square feet of construction.

According to the approved zoning permit, the structure will not exceed 38 feet in height. The proposed building will occupy most of the lot’s depth, stretching between two streets. The plans indicate a brick façade with casement-style windows and a pilot house accessing the roof deck. No excavation over five feet or underpinning is planned for the project, but the permit includes sheeting and shoring work per geotechnical recommendations.
The total construction cost is estimated at $292,000, which includes $245,000 in general construction, $21,000 in plumbing, $14,000 in mechanical, and $12,000 in electrical work. Separate permits are required for all MEP systems and fire suppression (NFPA 13D). No affordable housing component is included in the scope.
While the zoning and building permits have been approved, construction status has not yet been confirmed through official documentation or site photos.

Extensive front facade masonry and large windows are two pluses. Both Wawa and Appleby’s are within walking distance.
The correct address is 2621 E. Huntingdon St. 2619 E. Huntingdon St. is a different property. The site plan shows that the parcel was subdivided into four lots (two with E. Huntingdon St. and two with E. Harold St. addresses) in April 2024. As such, 2621 E. Huntingdon St. does not extend to E. Harold St.
The site is about a mile southeast of the Somerset Station on the Market-Frankford Line and just over half a mile east of Frankford Ave., both as the crow flies.
Google Maps April 2025 indicates that the former Rite Aid across the street remains vacant.
