Permits have been filed for the construction of a three-story, two-family structure at 140 West Huntingdon Street in Kensington, located near the corner of North Mascher and West Huntingdon streets. Documents state that the owner of the property is Juan A Ortiz and that it will be a residential structure.
The site for the new building is currently an empty lot with junk all around. The area is surrounded with houses around one to three stories tall and there is plenty of empty land available for future developments. There is also a basketball court to the south benefiting the residents of the area as it is open to the public.
The document states that when done, the new structure will have a roof deck.
