Permits have been filed for the demolition of a pair of condemned two-story rowhouses at 1601 North 27th Street and 1603 North 27th Street in the Brewerytown neighborhood in North Philadelphia. Documents specify hand and machine demolition to be employed and call for pedestrian protection to be present during the demolition process. FRE Holdings is the listed owner.
The area features many overgrown empty lots and wonderful additions of trees. The rickety structures sit a block north of the Athletic Square Park and a short walk to Fairmount Park.
