Permits have been filed for the construction of a single-family structure at 1238 North Howard Street in Fishtown, Kensington. The building will feature a roof deck and will not exceed 48 feet in height, including the roof access pilot house. Maher Abdelaal is the listed design professional and Katz Deborah Grossberg and Phillips Brian Denny are the listed owners.
The property sits on the west side of the block between Girard Avenue and West Thompson Street. The site presently consists of a fenced-in yard with a light shed. Two three-story prewar rowhouses flank the yard on either side.

The site is located two blocks away from the Girard Avenue station of the Market-Frankford SEPTA line and the Girard Av & Front St stop of the Girard Avenue trolley, which together offer direct commute to both Center City to the south and the Temple University area to the west.
