Permits have been filed for the demolition of a vacant two-story prewar rowhouse at 829 Hutton Street in Belmont, West Philadelphia. The property is located between Ogden Street and Parrish Street. The former single-family dwelling building is planned to be demolished as part of the City of Philadelphia Demolition Program. The cost of work is $15,489. The property is owned by Phuc Hong Nguyen. The contractor listed for the work is RDS Contracting Group Inc.
The brick-clad structure features a decorative top and red painted exterior, with the first-story windows blocked off. A 30-foot-long fence will be installed, along with an erosion control mat with seed on lot and stucco on the soon-to-be-exposed walls at 827 and 831 Hutton Street next door.
A walk toward the south on Hutton Street and a right turn on Parrish Street leads to a trolley stop and bus stop at the corner of North 43rd Street and Lancaster Avenue. The stop serves both the 43 bus on the Richmond-Cumberland Line and the 10 trolley on the 33rd-Market Line.
