Permits have been filed for the construction of a three-story single-family structure at 1905 East Harold Street in East Kensington. The building will rise from a 468-square-foot footprint on the east side of the block between Emerald Street and Jasper Street. 10th Fairmont LLC is the listed owner.
The site has remained vacant for over a decade and is overgrown with vegetation. According to the documents, the attached structure will have a basement with egress wells and a roof deck with a roof access structure.
The 39 bus stops at the corner of Jasper Street and East Huntingdon Street one short block to the west. The Huntington station of the Market-Frankford SEPTA line is located one long block to the northwest of the property. The Henry A. Brown Elementary School and the Sankofa Freedom Academy School are located three short blocks to the southwest on Jasper Street.
