Permits have been issued for the construction of a 44-unit multi-family development at 6618-24 Ridge Avenue in RoxboroughNorthwest Philadelphia. Upon completion, the building will rise five stories tall. A roof deck will sit at the top of the structure, accessible through multiple pilot houses. The building will hold 48,615 square feet of interior space. Permits state that construction costs are estimated at $3 million.

The new structure will sit on a site currently occupied by a used car dealership. A surface lot takes up the majority of the property, with a small fence encasing the lot. A lone structure sits in the rear of the property, and features a white stucco exterior. A slanted roof tops the building.

The site of this project is along the corridor that sees the majority of Roxborough’s development, with many new multi-family buildings already standing, under construction, and planned. The project sits across the street from 6604 Ridge Avenue, a 50-unit development currently underway. YIMBY also recently shared renderings for 6910 Ridge Avenue, a 77-unit development located nearby.

No completion date is known for the project at this time, though construction may be finished by 2022 or 2023.

  1. Hope the roof deck will let them see downtown Philadelphia.

  2. Let’s see how many new multi family units we can build before we sink Germany Hill into the underground springs that run beneath.
