The Philadelphia skyline has been significantly expanding for the past several years, making a drastic change to the look of the city. The construction boom started when the Comcast Technology Center was under construction in 2015, and since that time a great number of projects have been completed and are underway. Today we take a look at the new image of the skyline from the Live! Casino and Hotel, highlighting the projects that are currently under construction.

The tallest development under construction, The Laurel Rittenhouse, has reached the top of the parapet at 593 feet. The core, which extends to 599 feet, had topped in October. The recently completed W/Element Hotel can be seen with the W and the white strips lit up, with work still being done on the lighting as some sections are still not lit. Nearby on Broad Street, Arthaus is close to wrapping construction, with the temporary construction elevator having just been taken off the tower.

Just in front of the recently renovation Jefferson Center, the Jefferson Specialty Care Pavilion will soon top out as the structure currently stands nearly 300 feet tall, approaching its planned 400-foot height. Also seen from the same view is the steel structure of 2222 Market Street, which stands topped out and flooded with bright construction lighting. Behind 2222 Market, the south tower of Riverwalk can be seen, where the last few floors are being clad.
