Philadelphia YIMBY’s recent site visit has observed that construction work is nearing completion at a four-story residential development at 1429 Hope Street in Olde Kensington. Designed by A2 Design Group, the building rises from a lot bound by North Front Street, Master Street, Jefferson Street, facing Hope Street. Permits list Waybar Construction LLC as the contractor.

Each four-story single-family residence that will offer 2,484 square feet of interior space. The buildings form a highly attractive ensemble thanks to their high-quality textured brick facades, subtle brickwork detailing, and tall, paneled windows trimmed with astute black surrounds and mullions.

    Looks nice.

    Too bad there’s no parking anywhere (the street is too narrow).

    The Market-Frankford Line is around the block on Front Street.

    SEPTA trolley route 15 can be found a few blocks south on Girard Avenue, where you can find a local McDonald’s restaurant for fine dining.
