Construction Underway at The Beverly at 1102 Germantown Avenue in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia

Construction is now underway at The Beverly, a six-story, 50-unit mixed-use development at 1102 Germantown Avenue in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia. Developed by Stamm Development Group, the building will feature commercial space on the ground floor and residential units above. The project will include a green roof, storage for tenants, and spaces for nine cars and 17 bicycles. In total, the development will hold 54,076 square feet of space and will cost an estimated $10 million to build. The project is being built by Tester Construction.

The design features a modern exterior mostly comprised of gray brick, which will allow the structure to stand out at the street level. White brick is also used throughout, comprising the majority of the ground floor as well as rows and columns throughout the rest of the façade. Finally, bronze cladding situated around windows provides an accent to the design.

Ground has officially broken for the development which Stamm Development Group shared in a recent social media posting. The project seems to be moving forward at a rapid pace, as YIMBY’s previous article on the development occurred in late March when permits were issued.  Now, just over one month later, the project is already making progress with foundation work underway. The project is aiming to be completed by Spring of 2022, so this swift pace of construction will likely continue.

The development will bring additional density to a rapidly growing corner of the neighborhood, where well over 1,000 residential units are under construction. The building boom is anchored by Post Brothers’ massive Piazza Terminal, which features three high rise residential towers, a landscaped promenade in the center, in a location just steps away from The Beverly at 1102 Germantown Avenue.
