Permits have been filed for the demolition of a two-story rowhouse at 1320 South 48th Street in Kingsessing, Southwest Philadelphia. The vacant, boarded-up structure features a bay window on the top floor. The site is located near the corner of South 48th Street and Woodland Avenue. The property is owned by Greenspot LLC. Mangual Demolition Inc. is the listed contractor.

According to the documents, the demolition on the curved street will be a major demolition. The crews will dismantle the structure using handheld devices, possibly due to the weakened structure of the old building as there is an unsafe violation. The property is awaiting approval of a sidewalk closure for the fence by the Street Department before work can start.

At the end of the block sits the Woodland Avenue and 48th Street trolley stop that services lines 11 and 36 and runs to 13th Street and Market Street. Two blocks to the west is the Kingseeing Recreation Center located at 4901 Kingseeing Avenue. The recreation center includes two tennis courts, four basketball courts, a public pool, and a large field with two baseball fields. The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia sits within a 10-minute walk to the northeast.
