Permits have been filed for the demolition of a three-story rowhouse at 2435 West Thompson Street in Sharswood, North Philadelphia. The prewar single-family dwelling is located between North 24th Street and North 25th Street and will come down as part of the City of Philadelphia Demolition Program, with a cost of work of $24,987. The property is owned by Armstead Sharyce. The contractor listed for the work is Thomas Curran.

The building is clad in tan siding, which extends to the cornice. When the demolition work is done, the party wall on 2347 West Thompson Street, a recently built four-story structure just to the west of the property, will be clad with stucco. The sidewalk in front of the property will be replaced and an erosion control mat with seed on lot will be added to the site.

The prewar United Baptist Church sits at the west end of the block at 2500 West Thompson Street. The Athletic Square Park and Recreation Center sits within a five-minute walk to the northwest. The Girard College campus is located a block to the south. The 15 trolley runs around a block to the south along Girard Avenue. Fairmount Park sits within a 15-minute walk to the west.
