A new rendering has been revealed for The Nook, a four-story, 34-unit development at 5535 Pulaski Avenue in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by Harman
Deutsch Ohler (which served as the architect of record) and M Architects LLC and developed by Stamm Development Group, the building will stand four stories and yield 34 residential units. Tester Construction is in charge of building the structure.

YIMBY shared a conceptual rendering in September.

The design features a façade with an white panels and black trim around the floor-to-ceiling windows with varying widths, which give the building a modern look. The first floor features light tan brick that adds texture at the pedestrian level.

The development is significant for a neighborhood that saw little growth in the postwar period, though the community has been thriving in recent years. The Nook will be located in the “downtown” area of the neighborhood, close to a variety of shops and restaurants. As the neighborhood continues to develop and grow, the location will become more desirable.

  1. This is terrible and I don’t think the community wants this. Do these developer ever engage with the community they are coming into?

  2. Good morning
I would like more information about your apartment rentals please.

  3. “Thriving community?” “Downtown?” Seriously? Have you been to the area? It’s a disaster. There is nothing thriving about it at all. In recent years there have been several shooting steps from there. The streets are full of trash. Pretty much anything my that opened in previous years has shut down. I can’t imagine anyone would want to pay a premium to live there.

  4. Great location next to the train station with many more developments to come as well as newly renovated apartment buildings on the block. This will be a nice addition to a up and coming area.
