Façade work is nearing completion on Ridge Pointe, a 25-unit mixed-use development at 1810 Ridge Avenue in Francisville, North Philadelphia. The building rises five stories tall, with a 3,500-square-foot commercial space at the ground floor and apartments above. Omega Home Builders is the builder.
A rendering of the development shows an attractive modern façade that utilizes a mixture of multi-colored cladding. Light gray cladding mixes with additional black cladding situated on window projections, creating a unique exterior. Stone work will feature on the ground floor around the commercial space. The corners and the top of the building will exhibit wood-colored cladding.
Major progress has been made on the building’s exterior with the façade now nearly finished, providing an early glimpse of the structure’s final product design. The gray and black cladding appear very consistent with the renderings, giving the building its modern look. The wood-colored portion of the building, however, turned out slightly different than the renderings suggested, with the street address of the project situated on the vertical columns on top of the cladding that adds an extra flair to the design.
This is one of many developments recently completed and currently in progress in Francisville, and is located just steps away from a planned 50-unit development at 901 Leland Street, for which YIMBY shared an update less than a week ago. The addition of 25 residential units and a commercial space will help further densify the Ridge Avenue corridor.
The project is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2021, suggesting that work should be finished soon.
