Exterior work is wrapping up on Brübox, a 33-unit mixed-use development situated at 3120 Jefferson Street in BrewerytownNorth Philadelphia. Designed by Coscia Moos Architecture and developed by Khosla Properties, the building rises five stories tall with a commercial space situated on the ground floor. The residential units consist of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Tester Construction is the contractor.

The development features a modern exterior with black cladding serving as the primary material. The most noticeable feature, however, are the rectangular boxes jutting out from the structure which are covered in white siding and hold small balconies above them.

As seen below, construction work on the exterior is largely complete, with all of the black and white cladding having been installed. Balcony railings have been mounted above the boxy white cantilevers, while windows of various sizes have been integrated throughout the structure’s façade.

The new development is adding a significant amount of density to a rapidly growing corner of Brewerytown. Throughout the immediate surrounding area, a high number of new multi-family developments have come to fruition, adding hundreds of residential units and helping support the nearby Girard Avenue commercial corridor to the south.

Work is expected to reach completion in the third quarter of this year.
