Philadelphia YIMBY’s recent site visit has observed no construction activity at the site of a five-story, 75-unit mixed-use building proposed at 5932-42 Germantown Avenue in GermantownNorthwest Philadelphia. Designed by CANNODesign, the development will feature 3,538 square feet of commercial space at the ground floor. Also at ground level will be parking space for 38 cars.

    It would have been nice if they had designed a building that complemented the neighborhood rather than overran it!

  2. Looks like a Federal building in DC, which is not a compliment.

  3. Not really. The new building will add luster to the existing building and they will attract people to live in Germantown.

      We will just have to hope they ride bicycles which are really fun when it’s 20 degrees or snowing. Come on Phila. get real! All of the recent construction could have created underground parking if the builders weren’t so cheap. Check out what’s been built it Roxborough with no parking….
