Permits have been filed for the demolition of a vacant two-story prewar rowhouse at 2465 North Douglas Street in Strawberry Mansion, North Philadelphia. The former single-family dwelling is located between West York Street and West Cumberland Street and will come down as part of the City of Philadelphia Demolition Program, with a cost of work of $13,499. The property is owned by Erik Fersner. The contractor listed for the work is FH Demolition.
The building is a brick-clad residential structure with green awnings over the windows facing North Douglas Street. The project also involves the application of stucco to the to-be-exposed walls of 2463 and 2467 North Douglas Street and the addition of an erosion control mat to the site.
The 32 and 54 bus stops a short block to the west. Fairmount Park sits two blocks to the west.
