Renderings Revealed for 21st And Ludlow in Center City West

Renderings have been revealed for 21st And Ludlow, a multi-family high-rise planned in Center City West. Designed by Eddy Mchenry Architecture and developed by the Parkway Corporation, the tower will rise 21 stories and 377 feet tall, with 304 residential units (31 of which will be designated as affordable housing), ground floor retail space, and 109 parking spaces located underneath the tower.

Construction Still Pending at 21M in Center City West

As expected, a recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has discovered no signs of new construction at the site of 21M, a 350-foot-tall mixed-use tower proposed at 2100 Market Street in Center City West. Developed by the Brandywine Realty Trust, the project has been in the works for several years and has seen various iterations, with the latest one designed by Edry McHenry Architects. Since we last looked at the project for our most recent December countdown, no permits have been filed nor has any progress has been made at the site, where a parking lot continues to operate.

Since we last reviewed the project for our last year’s countdown, no permits have been filed nor has any progress has been made at the site, where a parking lot continues to operate.

The 20th Place on Philadelphia YIMBY’s December Countdown Goes to 27-Story Tower Planned at 709-13 Chestnut Street in Market East, Center City

The 20th place on Philadelphia YIMBY’s December 2021 Development Countdown goes to the 317-foot-tall, 27-story residential high-rise proposed at 709-13 Chestnut Street in Market East, Center City. Designed by Edry McHenry Architects and developed by the Parkway Corporation and Roseland Properties, the building will replace a parking lot on the north side of Chestnut Street between 7th and 8th streets and will offer 278 market-rate single-family units. Although the proposal was well-received by both the City’s Planning Commission and the Civic Design Review Committee upon its reveal in 2018, no construction permits have yet been filed and YIMBY’s recent site visit revealed no signs of ongoing work at the still-operational parking lot.

350-Foot-Tall 21M Revealed for 2100 Market Street in Center City West

Updated renderings have been revealed for 21M, a 350-foot-tall mixed-use tower at 2100 Market Street in Center City West and number 17 on Philly YIMBY’s December 2020 Development Countdown. The project is being developed by Brandywine Realty Trust and has recently received a new design by Edry McHenry Architects with a considerable height reduction. Brandywine Realty Trust has been trying to redevelop the site into a tower for a few years now, but it looks like it will soon move forward once an anchor tenant is found. While Brandywine and other media outlets have not released any information on the tower yet, a section on 21M was added to the Brandywine site showing two new renderings and some details on the project.
