A set of updated plans and renderings has been released for Torresdale Manor Residences, a townhouse development proposed at 3600 Grant Avenue in Torresdale, Northeast Philadelphia. Designed by Abitare Design Studio, the project will consist of 30 residences, a new roadway, and a green trail along the Byberry Creek that runs through an adjacent golf club. Each townhouse will rise three stories plus a finished basement, and will include three bedrooms and two parking spaces.

A zoning permit has been issued for the demolition of a large commercial structure at 9801 Blue Grass Road by the Northeast Philadelphia Airport in Far Northeast Philadelphia. The single-story facility appears to have served as a distribution facility or a trucking depot until recently, though permits classify the structure as vacant. The filing lists a building footprint of 396,812 square feet, making the facility one of the largest structures to be slated for the wrecking ball in recent years.

The suburban-style house sits on a large, verdant property and likely dates to the prewar period. The plot sits close to the corner of Pine Road and Christopher Drive, about 400 feet away from the city’s western border. The property is under ownership of Neil H. Horner.
