Construction Anticipated at 1015 South 3rd Street in Queen Village, South Philadelphia

A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has shown that construction has still not started in earnest at a four-story, 67-unit multi-family development at 1015 South 3rd Street in Queen Village, South Philadelphia, although construction equipment is present at the site. The development will rise on the east side of the block between Washington Avenue and Carpenter Street. Designed by HDO Architecture, the building will feature elevator service and a green roof.

Construction Still Pending at 933 North Penn Street in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia

Nearly a year after permits were issued, construction has still not started at the seven-story, 196-unit multi-family development proposed at 933 North Penn Street in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia. Designed by HDO Architecture, the project will rise directly on the Delaware River waterfront and will include a pedestrian promenade at the ground level. The structure will span 187,636 square feet of gross floor area and will offer parking for 57 cars and 66 bicycles.

Construction Complete at 3609 Spring Garden Street in Powelton Village, West Philadelphia

A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has confirmed completion of construction at a four-story, 13-unit multi-family rental building at 3609 Spring Garden Street in Powelton Village, West Philadelphia. The new building replaces a stately, three-story Victorian rowhouse on the north side of the block between North 36th and North 37th streets. The construction team includes Brett Harman as the design professional and David Schwartz Construction as the contractor. Permits list construction costs at $1.4 million.
