Permits have been filed for the construction of a single-family structure at 1505 South Stillman Street in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of South Philadelphia. The structure will replace a grassy lot with a single mature tree. The property is located near the corner of South Stillman Street and Dickinson Street and is owned by Eloise Priss Strickland.
The building will feature a roof deck and a roof access structure with a staircase leading to the top.
The property sits in a predominantly lowrise neiborhood that consists chiefly of two- and three-story rowhouses, which include recent development. An elevated rail line runs above 25th Street a block to the east. A little over two blocks away from the property is the Wharton Square Playground at the corner of Wharton Street and South 24th Street wit green space, a playground, and two basketball courts.
