Permits have been filed for the construction of a single-family structure at 1326 Palethorp Street in Olde Kensington. The building will rise from a 770-square-foot footprint on the west side of the block between West Thompson Street and Master Street. Collins-Hyman Bachman Samuel Steiner-JOS is the listed owner.

The property is currently a vacant lot that sits between two three-story buildings. The front of the lot that faces the street is closed off with a wooden fence. According to the documents, the building will not pass the height of 38 feet. The building will have a roof deck accessed by a pilot house.

The site is located near the neighborhood boundary with Fishtown, which sits to the east. The 7, 48, and 49 buses stop at North 29th Street and West Diamond Street, located on the northwest corner of the block. The Girard station of the Market-Frankford SEPTA line sits within a seven-minute walk to the southeast. One block to the west and three short blocks to the south is the James G. Blaine School, located at 3001 West Berks Street.
