Permits have been issued for the construction of a six-story, 50-unit multi-family development at 370 West Johnson Street in Morton, Northwest Philadelphia. A parking garage will be located on the ground floor. A green roof will be situated at the top of th`e building. The structure will hold 50,218 square feet of space and cost an estimated $4 million to build.
The development is the latest in a string of proposals in the neighborhood. In December, YIMBY shared info that permits were issued for a 32-unit building a couple blocks away. Additionally, permits were issued for a 60-unit mixed-use development on Germantown Avenue. These developments will be beneficial toward increasing the density in the neighborhood and drawing business to the area.
Transit access is offered via the Upsal Station of the Chestnut Hill West SEPTA regional rail line., located a short walk away from the property.
No completion date is has yet been announced.

It is located between Germantown and amount Airy, but many simply refer to it as North Germantown or Northwest Philly. We use the name here to help distinguish more specific areas in the city
