Designed by Cope-Linder Architects and developed by RAL Development, the building rises 185 feet, standing prominently over the predominantly residential neighborhood. Two of the floors house retail space, occupied by an ALDI supermarket, and a parking garage in the structure’s eastern section.
Completion nears at 1300 Fairmount Avenue, a 185-foot-tall, 14-story mixed-use development located in Spring Garden, North Philadelphia. The high-rise structure contains 625,000 square feet and will include a 58,700-square-foot Aldi supermarket, a 12,000-square-foot preschool, 487 apartments, and 287 parking spaces. RAL Development is the developer and Cope Linder Architects is the project designer. At the moment, construction is nearly finished at both the exterior and the landscaping.
Broad Street, the city’s primary north-south thoroughfare, is seeing an influx of development proposals, particularly on its centrally located yet long-neglected portion between Center City and Temple University in lower North Philadelphia. At 1300 Fairmount Avenue, just off Broad Street and near the iconic Divine Lorraine Hotel, RAL Development is constructing a 185-foot-tall, 14-story mixed-use high-rise totaling 625,000 square feet.
