Permits have been issued for the construction of a three-story, three-unit apartment building at 4223 Powelton Avenue in West Powelton, West Philadelphia. The structure will rise from a vacant lot on the north side of the block between North 42nd Street and Holden Street. Designed by KCA Design Associates, the building will span 3,832 square feet and feature a basement and outdoor parking for three cars. Permits list Basch Builders as the contractor.

Three Multi-Family Buildings Proposed at 2403-07, 2413-17, and 2431-33 West Thompson Street in Sharswood, North Philadelphia

Three multi-family apartment buildings have been proposed for construction on the same block in Sharswood, North Philadelphia. The trio will rise at three non-contiguous vacant lots at 2403-07, 2413-17, 2431-33 West Thompson Street, on the north side of the block between North 24th and North 25th streets. The three buildings will hold a total of 21 residential units. According to permits, the design team consists of Colliers Engineering & Design, Rhett N. Chiliberti, and John Hayes, Jr.. Frankel Enterprises is listed as the developer and Basch Builders is specified as the contractor.

A Study in Duality: Construction Nears Completion at 1325 Buttonwood Street in Callowhill, Lower North Philadelphia

Philly YIMBY’s recent site visit discovered that construction is nearly complete at a four-story, two-family residential development at 1325 Buttonwood Street in Callowhill, Lower North Philadelphia. The unusual-looking structure stands on the north side of the block between North 13th Street and North Broad Street. Permits list a floor area of around 3,000 square feet and Kevin O’Neill as the designer and Basch Builders as the contractor. Construction costs are specified at $555,000, of which $315,000 is allocated for general construction, $120,000 for plumbing, and $60,000 apiece for electrical and mechanical work.
