Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developed by Exeter Development Group and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, One Cathedral Square at 1701 Race Street rises near the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Logan Square, Center City. The glass and concrete tower stands 245 feet and 23 stories tall. Just to the north, the large parking lot will be transformed into a second tower, which will stand 470 feet tall.

While the Philadelphia skyline is growing upward, it is also extending further outward with new proposals. Cathedral Square, a development consisting of two skyscrapers, is on its way up in the Logan Square neighborhood in Center City, with the first tower already under construction at 1701 Race Street. Just to the north, Two Cathedral Square will soon stand 470 feet and 34 stories tall at 227 North 18th Street. The tower was designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developed by Exter Property Group and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The concrete structure is nearly topped out at One Cathedral Square, a 244-foot-tall, 23-story residential rising at 1701 Race Street in Logan Square, Center City, a block south of from the Vine Street Expressway. Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Exeter Property Group, with the Hunter Roberts Construction Group as the contractor, the building is part of Cathedral Square, a block-spanning development that will also include the 470-foot-tall Two Cathedral Square tower.
Cladding installation has begun on the first high-rise of the two-tower Cathedral Square development in Logan Square, Center City. Cathedral Square Phase One is located at 222 North 17th Street, just to the east of Cathedral Basilica of Saint Peter and Paul.
