Designed by Designblendz Architecture, the project will offer 62,825 square feet of residential space, as well as parking for 62 cars. FreezPak Facility Goes to Civic Design Review at 2201 East Allegheny Avenue in Port Richmond, Kensington

Pennoni Associates, a Philadelphia-based construction engineering firm, has submitted a proposal to Civic Design Review for a 77-foot-tall, 170,117-square-foot FreezPak industrial facility at 2201 East Allegheny Avenue in Port Richmond, Kensington. The gargantuan development will span a 306,275-square-foot lot bound by Allegheny Avenue to the west, Westmoreland Street to the east, and a rail line to the north. In addition to the building, the facility will also include 18 65-foot-long semi-trailer loading docks, parking for 90 cars, a 104-foot-wide loading lane, and a four-lane interior access road.

Designed by Designblendz, the building will feature 62,825 square feet of residential space. An additional 13,706 square feet on the ground floor will be allocated for a portion of the planned 62 parking spaces, while the rest will be situated outdoors on surface lots.

Philadelphia YIMBY’s recent site visit has revealed that construction work is nearly complete at a five-story, 28-unit apartment building underway at 3045-51 Richmond Street in Port Richmond, Kensington. Developed by Fifth Realty, the Neo-Industrial-styled structure rises on the southeast side of the block between Elkhart Street and East Clearfield Street. The substantially large structure spans 37,807 square feet of interior space, which will include 12 one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom units. Features include full sprinkling and a ground-level garage for 22 cars. Permits list Lonny Rossman as the design professional and TBC LLC as the contractor. The construction cost is specified at $4.25 million.

Philadelphia YIMBY’s recent site visit has revealed that exterior work nears completion at the four-story, ten-unit mixed-use building under construction at 2966-68 Richmond Street in Port Richmond, Kensington. The development rises on the north side of the block between Ann Street and East Indiana Avenue, across from the Interstate-95 aka the Delaware Expressway. Designed by KJO Architecture, the structure will hold 9,745 square feet of space, of which 2,000 square feet will be allocated for commercial (office) space. The remaining 7,745 will be residential, lending an average of just under 775 square feet per unit. The building will be fully sprinkled. Permits list A Frame Management LLC as the contractor and a construction cost of $1.6 million.
