Permits have been filed for the demolition of a vacant three-story prewar building at 1935 South 6th Street in Wharton, South Philadelphia. The formerly residential property is located on a block between Dudley Street and McKean Street. The structure will be torn down as part of the City of Philadelphia Demolition Program. The cost of work is listed at $36,000. The property is owned by Liang Yen Chen and Anny Ding. The contractor listed for the work is FH Demolition.

The brick-clad building features a protruding window bay at the second and third stories with white vinyl siding and a cornice at the parapet.

Three short blocks to the south of the property is the stop for the 79 bus at the corner of South 6th Street and Snyder Avenue. Seven blocks to the south is the triangle-shaped Weinberg Park. The Ford PAL Recreation Center is also located three blocks to the south.
