A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has revealed that construction is nearly complete at The Onyx, a five-story, 44-unit multi-family rental development at 6618 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia. The building spans 48,615 square feet and will include features such as an elevator, a fitness center, a garage, a green roof with a roof deck, and full sprinkling. Permits list Klein & Company Plumbing Inc. as the contractor and a construction cost of $3 million.
Apartment features include stainless steel appliances, vinyl plank wood flooring, granite countertops, dishwashers, garbage disposal, built-in breakfast bar, soft-close cabinetry, in-unit washer/dryers, and PTAC Climate control in each room. The building is equipped with secured key-fob entry and an intercom system. Pets are allowed per building policy. Rents for currently available units at The Onyx start at $1,200 for studios, $1,575 for one-bedroom units, and $2,000 for two-bedroom apartments.
The Onyx rises next to The Azalea, a similarly-sized development that is also nearing completion, which YIMBY covered yesterday.
