The Center City West neighborhood has taken on a new look over the past few years, as the first of the newest crop of developments are in the final stages of construction. A pair of towers dubbed Riverwalk stands at 60 North 23rd Street, near the Schuylkill River. Designed by Gensler and developed by PMC Property Group, the angled south tower rises 363 feet and 32 stories, and the north tower rises 315 feet and 28 stories. In total, the slab-like towers will soon boast 711 total units.

Site work on the buildings was underway by March 2018, and seven months later the structure started construction above ground. The first floor was poured for both towers, but the north tower was continuing construction. The shorter building topped out in May 2020, and concrete work restarted the two months later. The white tower crane used for the north tower was transferred to the south tower to continue the work. The slabs for the podium were underway in August, and the residential floors started rising above in October. The tower was halfway up in March 2021, and had topped out in late June.

Facade work had started in March 2021, and since then has made tremendous progress. The glass and metal reached the pinnacle in April 2022, and had eventually enclosed the roof. The construction elevator that was attached to the east face of the building has been removed, and all of the missing glass was zipped up to the top. The work on the multiple vertical rows of balconies is nearly complete on the south and west faces, as a majority of the walls are finished along with furniture placed in the sizeable space.
