A recent site visit by Philadelphia YIMBY has confirmed that construction work has wrapped up at 2100 Hamilton, a ten-story, 27-unit condominium at 2100 Hamilton Street in Logan Square (alternately Baldwin Park or Franklintown). Designed by Cecil Baker + Partners and developed by the Bock Development Group, with Ernest Bock & Sons as the contractor, the glass-clad structure rises 125 square feet tall and spans 25,802 square feet, and offers its residents perks such as a fitness center, underground parking, and a half-acre roof. Floor-to-ceiling windows lend unobstructed views in many directions, while balconies allow for private outdoor space in most units. Permits list a construction cost of $30 million.

Cladding Nears Completion at One Cathedral Square in Logan Square, Center City

The first phase of the two-tower Cathedral Square project is well underway as it is nearing exterior completion. Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developed by Exeter Development Group and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, One Cathedral Square at 1701 Race Street rises near the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Logan Square, Center City. The glass and concrete tower stands 245 feet and 23 stories tall. Just to the north, the large parking lot will be transformed into a second tower, which will stand 470 feet tall.

While the Philadelphia skyline is growing upward, it is also extending further outward with new proposals. Cathedral Square, a development consisting of two skyscrapers, is on its way up in the Logan Square neighborhood in Center City, with the first tower already under construction at 1701 Race Street. Just to the north, Two Cathedral Square will soon stand 470 feet and 34 stories tall at 227 North 18th Street. The tower was designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developed by Exter Property Group and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
