Renderings Reveal 188-Unit Mixed-Use Building Proposed at 1527 Callowhill Street in Franklintown

A recent submission to Philadelphia’s Civic Design Review committee outlines a proposal for an eight-story, 188-unit mixed-use development planned at 1527 Callowhill Street in Franklintown, Lower North Philadelphia. The new building will replace an existing parking lot situated at the northeast corner of Callowhill Street and North 16th Street. Developed by Omega Home Builders and designed by Designblendz Architecture, the project will span 208,000 square feet, ground-floor retail, parking for 24 cars and 63 bicycles, and a green roof.

Construction Complete at 2100 Hamilton in Logan Square

A recent site visit by Philadelphia YIMBY has confirmed that construction work has wrapped up at 2100 Hamilton, a ten-story, 27-unit condominium at 2100 Hamilton Street in Logan Square (alternately Baldwin Park or Franklintown). Designed by Cecil Baker + Partners and developed by the Bock Development Group, with Ernest Bock & Sons as the contractor, the glass-clad structure rises 125 square feet tall and spans 25,802 square feet, and offers its residents perks such as a fitness center, underground parking, and a half-acre roof. Floor-to-ceiling windows lend unobstructed views in many directions, while balconies allow for private outdoor space in most units. Permits list a construction cost of $30 million.

Facade work has been completed at the 11-story development at 2100 Hamilton Street in Franklintown (also known as Baldwin Park). Designed by Cecil Baker + Partners and developed by the Bock Development Group, the building stands 115 feet tall and will have 27 condominium units. Situated within a short walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and just to the north of the Center City skyscrapers, the project brings a modern look to an area that does not see much new development.

Work Nearing Completion on The Hamilton in Franklintown, North Philadelphia

Construction work is nearing completion on The Hamilton at 1500 Hamilton Street in Franklintown, North Philadelphia. Designed by MY Architecture and developed by the Community College of Philadelphia and the Radnor Property Group, the 599-unit project consists of two phases. The first is a 10-story, 147-foot-tall building that has been complete for some time now. Over the summer work began on the second phase, which consists of a 16-story, 197-foot-tall tower, which YIMBY confirmed as topped-out in January.
