The facade has risen above the halfway point at Riverwalk South, located at 60 North 23rd Street in Center City West. Designed by Gensler and developed by the PMC Property Group, the building is part of the two-towered, 711-unit Riverwalk complex and rises 362 feet and 32 stories. The structure will hold 380 residential units and feature a pleasant shade of glazed glass, with black metal highlights rippling in the light throughout the day.
The south tower seemed to pop out of nowhere earlier this year, when its concrete core and floorplates rising as fast as a rocket being launched. In our last update in July, the structure had just topped out, appearing imposing and dominant in comparison to the shorter north tower. At the time, the facade rose one-third of the way up the structure, with the crane still attached.
Progress on the high-rise has become more rapid over the past two months, with many changes taking place in the meantime. Shortly after the previous update, the white-painted crane was taken down. However, no steel has yet been erected around the perimeter along the roof, which will have a similar appearance to the north tower.
Riverwalk South is scheduled for completion at the end of 2022.

Bases of the buildings didn’t fair well during the latest river flooding.
Not at all surprised by the flooding. Almost anywhere else this would be considered a flood plain.
Looks so good, thanks to the skilled photographer (Thomas).
How does this look from 30th Street Station?
I’m sure drivers on the Schuylkill Expressway are thrilled to see this everyday! 😉
What about the 3rd tower they proposed for the site that sits between JFK and the Septa tracks?
