In a recent publication, Philadelphia YIMBY shared an overview of Riverwalk, also known as Riverwalk Philly, a mixed-use development at 60 North 23rd Street in Center City West (alternately Logan Square). Designed by Gensler and developed and built by the PMC Property Group, the project consists of two towers that will hold a total of 711 rental units. The 315-foot-tall, 28-story, 331-unit Riverwalk North is already open for residents, while the slightly larger, 362-foot-tall, 32-story, 380-unit Riverwalk South is still under construction. Exterior Nearly Complete at Riverwalk North in Center City West

Facade work nears completion at Riverwalk North, which is part of the Riverwalk complex at 60 North 23rd Street in Center City West. The development consist of two skyscrapers situated upon retail podiums. The project will feature a total of 711 residential units, and the north tower will have 331 units with the south tower featuring 380 units. Gensler, the architecture firm behind the design of the complex, has also designed a number of other projects in the area, including 3151 Market Street. Similarly, developer PMC Property Group is also developing several properties in the neighborhood.

Interior Work Continues at the Riverwalk North Tower in Center City West

Though the first portion of the Riverwalk North tower at 60 North 23rd Street opened back in March, work continues at the residential interiors, which will soon wrap construction. Designed by Gensler, the Riverwalk project consists of two towers standing atop four-story podiums holding retail space. The north tower is the shorter of the two, at a height of 315 feet and 28 stories. The south tower stands 362 feet tall with 32 stories. The project is developed by PMC Property Group, which is also behind other in-progress projects that are helping transform Center City West into a development hub. Notably, Gensler’s founder, Art Gensler, has recently passed away on May 10th, just two days after the passing of Helmut Jahn, another architect notable for his contributions to Philadelphia and beyond.
