Permits have been issued for a large mixed-use development at 527-37 West Girard Avenue in Ludlow, North Philadelphia. Designed by Continuum Architecture, the new development will involve the renovation of most components presently on-site, with exception of Building D, which will be demolished to make way for a new four-story residential structure. In total, the development will feature 38 residential units, with a commercial space at the ground floor situated at the intersection of 6th Street and Girard Avenue. The renovated and expanded complex is expected to yield 27,776 square feet.

Construction work is making progress at Amy Gutmann Hall, the latest addition to the UPenn campus at 3317-33 Chestnut Street in University City, West Philadelphia. The building will house 115,954 square feet of space designated for classrooms, student collaborative space, and a data science hub. The building is being built with mass timber construction.

Construction work is making considerable headway at a 13-unit development at 769 South 10th Street in Bella Vista, South Philadelphia. Designed by Landmark Architectural Design, the building will stand four stories tall, with commercial space at the ground floor and a roof deck.

Work Nearing Completion On Beer Garden At 1706-10 Walnut Street In Rittenhouse Square, Center City

Work is nearing completion on a new beer garden at 1706-08-10 Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City. The new space will span 11,500 square feet, including a large amount of outdoor seating and garden space. Various temporary sheds and tents will host vendors and covered seating, while a small play space boasts the future space’s family-oriented appeal. Avram Hornik is managing the restaurant, the latest addition to his growing portfolio of Philadelphia restaurants. The restaurant will operate from noon to midnight.

Permits Issued For 2514 North Front Street In West Kensington

Permits have been issued for the construction of a four-story mixed-use development at 2514 North Front Street in West Kensington. Designed by Designblendz and developed by Vice Properties, the new building will feature two artist studios and artisan industries space at the ground floor and 18 residential units. The structure will span 17,432 square feet and will include a roof deck.

Permits have been issued for the mixed-use renovation and expansion at 2121 East Allegheny Avenue in Harrowgate. The existing two-story structure will be retrofitted to contain residential and commercial/industrial space, while a three-story addition will hold additional residential space. Designed by Woodcock Design, the building will hold 68 residential units. Zoning permits indicate that there will be 22 parking spaces included with the project.

Renderings Revealed for 130 West Girard Avenue In Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia

Renderings have been revealed for a seven-story, 84-unit mixed-use development proposed at 130 West Girard Avenue in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia. Designed by Studio HS4, with Colliers Consulting also as part of the project team, the new building will include around 57,000 square feet of residential space, 3,500 square feet of commercial space at the ground floor, and 11 parking spaces.

Renderings Revealed for 1440 Front Street in Olde Kensington

Renderings have been revealed for a 114-unit mixed-use development at 1440 Front Street in Olde Kensington, North Philadelphia. Designed by CANNOdesign, the new building will rise seven stories tall and span 88,497 square feet, with commercial space at the ground floor. The ground floor floor will also contain parking for 18 cars and 36 bicycles, along with amenity space. A roof deck will be located at the top of the structure, with an outdoor space at the ground floor and many units also including balcony space.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a five-story, 40-unit mixed-use building at 2000 Ridge Avenue in Sharswood, North Philadelphia. Designed by WRT, the structure is part of a 21-building development. 2000 Ridge Avenue will span 49,364 square feet and feature commercial space at the ground floor, as well as amenities and parking.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a multi-family building located at 1409 North 21st Street in Sharswood, North Philadelphia. Designed by MidAtlantic Engineering Partners, the new building will rise four stories and will hold 24 residential units and parking for 17 cars (one accessible) and eight bicycles. In total, the structure will span 33,322 square feet.
