Permits have been issued for a large mixed-use development at 527-37 West Girard Avenue in LudlowNorth Philadelphia. Designed by Continuum Architecture, the new development will involve the renovation of most components presently on-site, with exception of Building D, which will be demolished to make way for a new four-story residential structure. In total, the development will feature 38 residential units, with a commercial space at the ground floor situated at the intersection of 6th Street and Girard Avenue. The renovated and expanded complex is expected to yield 27,776 square feet.

Work is nearing completion on a new beer garden at 1706-08-10 Walnut Street in Rittenhouse SquareCenter City. The new space will span 11,500 square feet, including a large amount of outdoor seating and garden space. Various temporary sheds and tents will host vendors and covered seating, while a small play space boasts the future space’s  family-oriented appeal. Avram Hornik is managing the restaurant, the latest addition to his growing portfolio of Philadelphia restaurants. The restaurant will operate from noon to midnight.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a four-story mixed-use development at 2514 North Front Street in West Kensington. Designed by Designblendz and developed by Vice Properties, the new building will feature two artist studios and artisan industries space at the ground floor and 18 residential units. The structure will span 17,432 square feet and will include a roof deck.
